Assured Heart Insurance
Assured heart is the brainchild of writer and comedian Moronzio Vance. The idea is simple. How many of us have had our lives turned upside down by a break up? Does that experience cause us to fear our next relationship?
What if we could enter our next relationship with some kind of insurance that if our hearts are broken our lives will remain intact?
Enter Assured Heart. Assured Heart will make sure you are taken care of. Too depressed to clean your apartment? Assured heart will take care of that. Lost wages because of missed work? Assured Heart has you covered.
Insurance for a broken heart
For this project, I was asked to design a branding concept for this mock insurance company. Vance wanted a logo that was clean, corporate and professional. He also wanted examples of merchandise he could sell or give away to promote his idea.
To meet his goals I started with a clean typeface which also added a touch of whimsy. I chose Azo Sans Uber. I fell in love with this because of the fun way the uppercase R kicked up in the word HEART. This is, after all, no ordinary insurance company. It’s all about the HEART.
Once the logo was in place I began to imagine what all this insurance company might need. A paper system, a uniform for his sales associates, and maybe even some swag.

Every sales person needs some specialty advertising to hand out to potential customers. But why stick to pens or refrigerator magnets? Why not bandaids or an ice pack to help you feel better when life has you down?
